2000年7月,由中华人民共和国文化部艺术司主办,中国画研究院协办,成立了“聚焦西部”中青年画家西部采风创作团,随后进行了为期半年多的赴祖国西部地区采风和以后的创作活动,取得了令人瞩目的丰硕成果。这次活动,既是西部大开发过程中人文关注的一个亮点,也是在中国画创作领域为新时期主旋律奏响的华彩乐章。 In July 2000, sponsored by the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China and co-sponsored by the Chinese Painting Research Institute, a Western-style young and middle-aged painter’s group of Western-style painting was set up.
