In this paper, the content of Au, Ag and Hg in 94 different gold samples from the Valle Gold mine in the Klerksdorp gold field in South Africa was analyzed. The results showed that the contents of Au, Ag and Hg were 80-95 %, 4 ~ 18% and 0.5 ~ 4% respectively, the average contents are: A90%, Ag8% and Hg2%. Gold particles are homogeneous, but their composition varies widely between gold particles of a single sample and between the average components of different samples. Therefore, the changes in the composition of the gold particles are not suitable for a simple model - the source or metamorphism to control the metamorphism.
