良好的入学开端对于儿童今后的各项发展具有重要意义。澳大利亚政府和研究者都十分重视儿童的入学问题。政府在国家层面上制定《幼儿教育和看护国家质量框架》以保证幼儿教育与学前班教育的质量和课程的有效衔接,研究者们分别从“入学准备”和“入学衔接”两方面探讨了澳大利亚儿童的入学开端情况。但是“入学准备”与“入学衔接”之间的区别和联系还有待进一步讨论,有关“入学”研究的方法应兼顾量化和质性两种方法,学前教育机构在儿童入学过程中的作用仍需深入探讨。
