陈三立的诗论大量地涉及到诗歌本体论。这在诗论偏向于论述文学形式、美学风格的清末民初,是比较独特的。目前学界比较注意陈三立的“养气作诗”说。而实际上,具体分析的话,陈三立的诗歌本体论应该分为“孤愤”说和“摹状天地”说两个方面。“孤愤”说中,“孤”和“愤”二者同等重要,“孤”的状态尤为值得注意。“摹状天地”说则不是客观的描摹自然,而是有诗人强烈的主观性参与;引向的也是一种深微幽隐的美学风格,而不像传统的“天人合一”说一样引向淡远的艺术风格。
Chen Sanli’s poetry theory involves a lot of poetry ontology. This is more unique in the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China which is devoted to discussing literary form and aesthetic style in the theory of poetry.
