武钢三烧二系烧结机配置2台YDA—CH—16~#型抽风机,配用MCYC三相交流绕线型电机,额定功率2500千瓦,额定电压10000伏,该电机由日本进口。该电机自1973年三烧三系建成投产以来,其冷却方式一直为自冷密闭循环通风,电机产生的热量,通过空冷器交换由冷却水带走。由于武钢使用的是生产水,夏季供水温度高达36~38℃,水质差,空冷器易结垢,并发生局部堵塞,使空冷器传热系数降低和水流量减小,电机运行温度升高,严重威胁生产。如在1984年的高温季节(7、8、9月份)里,因电机运行温度高达110℃,被迫关闭风门,影响烧结机运行达38小时。后来被迫打开端部罩门,吸入室内空气,以维持生产。这种临时措施使电机温度有所降低,但会造成电机内部积灰严重。
