山水画这一门类是追述至隋朝时期的画家展子虔《游春图》此画的出现,标志着山水画的独立出现,到唐朝李思训、李昭道父子对积色体山水画发展到顶峰,以及吴道子的敷色体山水(即“吴装山水”),唐朝的绘画发展更是继承了隋朝的中国传统山水画在对大千世界恣意纵情的描摹中表达了对于自我的无限升华和对于自然的鼎礼膜拜.隋唐时期山水画在美术史上的重要地位,而这一时期山水画的发展变化主要体现在设色方面。
