随着网络融会和电信业务IP化的趋势,特别是NGN的发展和不断成熟,以太网在城域的逐步应用,NGN的服务质量保证(QoS)变得越来越重要,对网络的带宽、延迟、抖动以及丢包率等网络参数的要求越来越高。有关流分类、访问控制、流量管理、流量整形、拥塞管理、拥塞避免的功能逐渐成为实现QoS的基本原件,特别是流量管理功能的实现,为业务提供商给用户提供基于某些性能度量值的在一定范围内变化的差异业务提供了可能。其中,随着互联网的普及和多媒体技术在互联网上的应用,实时传送视频、音频多媒体动画等媒体技术的QoS控制也成为了当代课题的热点,这种传输技术称为流媒体传输技术。MPEG标准以其高压缩率、高质量、低传输率成为了目前多媒体传输的主要格式和标准,因此研究NGN中基于MPEG的实时传输技术QoS控制对于实现流媒体传输技术是必要和有意义的。

Therefore, it is necessary and meaningful to study QoS control of MPEG-based real-time transmission technology in NGN for realizing streaming media transmission technology.
