通过研究和分析季札、孔子和孟子他们三个在诗歌鉴赏方面的建树,我们不难对先秦诗歌鉴赏的整体发展情况有了个宏观的把握,从现有的文献和资料可知,季札开辟了先秦时期的诗歌鉴赏的先河。季札对于诗歌鉴赏的主要方法就是表达出自己通过阅读和感悟诗歌从而得到的整体感受,诗乐结合是其诗歌鉴赏的具体表现形式。孔子是在季札之后在诗歌鉴赏做出了一番贡献的诗歌鉴赏者。孔子的诗歌鉴赏主要有两种表现形式:摘抄句子鉴赏和通篇文章的鉴赏。除此之外,他的诗歌鉴赏具备着三个显著的特征:将诗歌的主题通过提炼从而确定和概括;将诗歌中所蕴藏的情感揭示出来;在前两点完成的基础上,将自己对本首诗歌的感悟抒发和描述下来。孟子是在孔子之后在诗歌鉴赏方面做出一番贡献的诗歌鉴赏者。孟子和孔子在诗歌鉴赏方面有着相似之处,同时孟子也发展了诗歌鉴赏。相似之处表现在他们的诗歌鉴赏形式是一样的。但是在鉴赏实践方面却大相径庭。他会对鉴赏理论进行阐述;鉴赏诗歌的时候学习和引用别A人的鉴赏资料;为了能够更好地理解诗歌的意境他也会灵活地联系实际的生活。
