The resolving power of the diffraction grating is discussed. The minimum wavelength resolution representation of the grating is obtained, and the relationship between the minimum wavelength resolution limit and the instrument is demonstrated. The important considerations for the physics research and the selection of the spectroscopic experiment equipment are also illustrated.
