非裔美国作家拉尔夫.埃里森的第二部长篇小说《六月庆典》在我国尚未受到应有的关注和研究。该小说在其表现主题、写作技巧和叙事手法上都堪称经典,可以说是对作者第一部著名小说《无形人》的超越。在此从后殖民主义文化语境出发,追踪主人公桑瑞德(儿时布里斯)的人生之路以及黑人牧师希克曼在此过程中的重要意义,对《六月庆典》的身份寻求主题进行深入解读并挖掘作者对黑人命运和黑人文化的深切关注以及对美国社会历史的理性思考。
African American writer Ralph Ellison’s second novel, “June Celebration,” has not received due attention and research in our country. The novel is classic in its performance theme, writing skills and narrative techniques, which can be said to surpass the author’s first famous novel “Invisible Man”. From the post-colonial cultural context, this article traces the life of the protagonist Sang Reid (childhood Bristol) and the significance of the black pastor Hickman in the process, and seeks the theme of “June Celebration” Depth reading and digging the author’s deep concern about the fate of blacks and black culture, as well as the rational thinking of American social history.
