In 1986, the United States and Libya fought in Sidra Bay (also known as Sirte Bay). US troops used whaling anti-ship missiles and sunk sank Libyans missile boats. The U.S. military made use of high-speed anti-radar missile Hamm and repeatedly attacked anti-aircraft missile bases near Libya’s Sidra City. This is the first practical application of a whale hunting anti-ship missile. Meridian Delilah Bay naval compelling.
