党的十五大报告指出:社会主义初级阶段基本经济制度是公有制为主体多种所有制经济成份共同发展。公有制和包含私有制在内的多种所有制经济成份共同发展,似乎和社会主义就是消灭私有制的基本原则自相矛盾。实际上,自相矛盾不在这个命题本身,而在于我们头脑里面的关于“社会主义”、“公有制”的传统观念同社会主义、劳动人民占有生产资料的概念本义之间的相互矛盾。
The report of the 15th National Congress of the CPC pointed out: The basic economic system in the primary stage of socialism is the common development of various economic sectors under the ownership of public ownership. The common development of various ownership sectors of the economy, including public ownership and private ownership, seems to contradict the basic principle that socialism is the eradication of private ownership. In fact, the paradox is not the proposition itself but the contradiction between the traditional concept of “socialism ” and “public ownership ” in our minds and the conceptual meanings of socialism and the working people’s possession of means of production .
