I will use this report to illustrate how organic chemists can use synthetic organic chemistry to study fundamental problems in organic chemistry. Charge transfer complexes are the basic theoretical topics in organic chemistry. It is closely linked with many biochemical phenomena and organic chemistry phenomena. We started the study six or seven years ago. Let us first review the history of charge-transfer complex development: In 1844 Friedrich W (o | ¨) hler made a 1: 1 mixture of quinone and quinone hydroquinone with p-benzoquinone.
