The story is the feature of Winterson’s work and also the core of his postmodernist literary thoughts. This article examines the characteristics of the story in Winterson’s works from three aspects: As a storyteller, her story is a way of constructing the world. The story does not reflect the world, but recreates the world. The story not only shows meaning but also makes sense. The story deconstructs the ambitious and continuous modern narrative through the whisper and wiping narration. She gives the story the function of reconstructing the divergent subject, transforming the subject identity in the experience connection and supply-type narration, making the subject a never-ending “Main body in process”.
