近年来,许多懂得英语的中国人,尤其是那些懂英语的网民,通过新媒体创造出各种各样别有创意的英语词汇和表达方式,比如How old are you?(怎么老是你?)、Smilence(笑而不语)、3Q(谢谢)等。这些词汇和表达方式同时具有娱乐性和叛逆性,是一种新的社会语言现象,值得系统描述分析。其产生的特殊历史阶段和社会文化环境也非常值得研究。本文将“新中式英语”作为“后多语主义”的一种表现,特别是将其作为“超语行动”的一种实例,结合中国社会发展和全球化进程进行初步分析。文章首先论述“后多语主义”的发展背景和此概念的内涵,然后对“超语行动”这一概念加以解释。本文的主要目的是将“新中式英语”现象分类,阐述它和历史上其他中式英语的关系,并分析其产生的特殊历史阶段和社会文化环境。相关例子来源于网络上可以随时查到的语料。本文中阐述的“后多语主义”和“超语行动”等理论概念及分析方法,对研究其他新的社会语言现象也有参考价值。
In recent years, many English-speaking Chinese, especially those who know English, have created a variety of creative English vocabulary and expressions through new media, such as How old are you? , Smilence (laugh without words), 3Q (thanks) and so on. These words and expressions are entertaining and rebellious at the same time. They are a new social language phenomenon that deserves systematic description and analysis. Its special historical stage and social and cultural environment are also worth studying. This article uses “New Chinese English ” as a manifestation of “post-linguistic ”, especially as an example of “super-linguistic action ”, combining with the initial stage of social development and globalization in China analysis. The article first discusses the development background of “post-polygamy” and the connotation of this concept, and then explains the concept of “super-linguistic action.” The main purpose of this paper is to classify the phenomenon of “New Chinese English”, explain its relationship with other Chinglish in history, and analyze its special historical stage and social and cultural environment. Related examples from the Internet can be found at any time of the corpus. The theoretical concepts and analytical methods described in this article such as “post-polysemy” and “super-linguistic actions” are also valuable for the study of other new social linguistic phenomena.
