Objective To investigate the effects of simulated space-borne weight loss on astronauts’ dietary vitamin intake and nutritional status. Methods Subjects were placed in bed at -6 ° low for 21 days. The change of nutrient intake was observed by weighing method. The caloric intake and vitamin content of bed rest on the first day, the 11th day and the 21st day were recorded. Results The caloric intake of 18 subjects basically met the physiological needs, decreased in the second week and returned to normal after the third week. Some of the vitamin intake and nutritional deficiency symptoms tended to improve with prolonged bed rest. Conclusion Simulated weightlessness has a short-term effect on the dietary intake of the body and can be restored to the normal range after the adaptation period.
