“网络到镇、信息进村”,广东省启动山区信息化工程。为彻底解决农村信息不灵问题,广东省政府计划从2002年~2007年,每年拨出3500万元,推进全省50个山区838个镇的信息化建设。在山区和贫困地区开展电子政务,可以解决因信息不通畅制约当地经济发展的瓶颈问题。工程开展前,广东省对10个山区信息化部分试点镇电子政务建设工作进行了调研。调研显示:各山区试点镇经济大多有着较强的专业性及发展潜力,但长期以来信息不通畅成为当地经济发展的瓶颈;山区人民信息的获取主要还是依靠电视、广播等传统方式,有的专业镇也依靠市、县的农业信息网发布供求信息;各市、县信息化程度较高,但各山区试点镇的信息化应用还停留在初始阶段,电脑
