自1998年始到2004年止,男子象棋大师赛已经热热闹闹地进行了七个年头,2004年“慈溪棋协杯”首届女子象棋大师赛终于姗姗而来。这次比赛的意义并不仅仅在于打造一位新的女子特级大师,更重要的是它见证了女子棋手在中国象棋艺苑中不可或缺的地位。
