Isothiocyanates are an important intermediate for organic synthesis in which the importance of life and production is increasingly apparent. In this paper, the synthesis methods of different isothiocyanates with different starting materials are reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of the current synthesis methods are discussed and a new green synthesis method is proposed.
