“The poor development and survival of precocious peach seedlings has become a major obstacle in the breeding of more precocious varieties.” This is mainly due to the immature embryo development when the fruit matures. In order to overcome these difficulties, sterile embryo culture techniques have been used. Theobald and Hough talked about the development and improvement of embryo culture techniques. The purpose of this article is to describe in detail the embryo culture techniques used in our laboratory. It should be noted that our use of embryo culture methods does not make any effort to save embryos that may have been aborted very early due to imbalances or genetic defects in the endosperm embryo, resulting from a large number of crosses.
