“新历史主义”小说对于历史的发难,于一开始还是凭藉了强烈的个人意识。历史话语在它那里,承当起了展示自我虚构的权力,并借以表达对于现实的焦虑,而这种作为在现代时期小说的历史观照里已经显现出来。由于时代启蒙理性的洗礼,20世纪20—40年代的中国小说,开始浸润作家愈益明显的个我主体意识。故此,二者之间还是有着相等程度的亲缘性的。
