根据铁道部统一部署,2003年和2005年我国将再次实施两次大提速。提速后南京到发列车速度将普遍提高到160公里/小时以上。据介绍,“十五”期间,我国有28条线路要大规模提速。提速后我国客运专线的旅客列车最高运行时速将达到200公里;而实验表明,“十五”期间将要建成的京沪铁路,其时速高达300至350公里。提速后全国初步建成以北京、上海和广州为中心的“三个提速圈”。
