西部大开发,中国加入世界贸易组织为宁夏的发展带来了很多机遇,同时也是对宁夏的挑战。如何应对挑战抓住机遇,加快发展,是摆在我们面前的严峻课题。宁夏属于经济小省区,地处西部,主要优势是相对丰富的自然资源。然而劣势更为突出,区位和自然环境差,人的观念落后,工业实力薄弱,科技水平低,基础设施较为落后。改革开放二十多年来,宁夏经济社会发展取得明显进步,但与东部地区相比,还有很大差距。只有走跨越式发展的新路,我们才有可能迎头赶上。根据我区实际情况,今后应重点从以下几方面进行战略调整:

How to Meet the Challenges To seize the opportunities and speed up development are the serious issues before us. Ningxia belongs to a small economic province, is located in the west, the main advantage is relatively abundant natural resources. However, the disadvantages are more prominent, the location and the natural environment are poor, people’s concepts are lagging behind, industrial strength is weak, science and technology are low, and infrastructure is lagging behind. In the two decades since the reform and opening up, Ningxia made remarkable progress in economic and social development, but there is still a long way to go compared with the eastern region. Only by taking the leapfrog new road will we be able to catch up. According to the actual situation in our region, we should make strategic adjustments in the following aspects from the following aspects:
