After the financial crisis in 2008, a new international and domestic macroeconomic environment emerged. The global economy has seen a new division of plates. China is on the rise and the second major global economic shift has already started. Under this new background, the outlet for Hong Kong’s economy will be built on how it can play a new role in the national macroeconomy, that is, to effectively utilize and coordinate with the new global and national trends. The financial industry, one of the four pillars of Hong Kong, should cooperate with the national policies, in particular to meet the tremendous demand arising from the contradiction between the lagging financial strength and the more developed real economy in our country, to provide the Mainland with better productive services and Support, and then strive to become China and a global center for international financial and business services. Hong Kong can also step up its use of CEPA to collaborate with the Pearl River Delta in the financial industry and new processing industries to provide new value-added services and employment opportunities in the Mainland market and to become a platform for Mainland enterprises to go global.
