In recent years, engineering applications of plastic mechanics are rapidly expanding. With the aid of computers and new mathematical tools, elastoplastic analysis, limit analysis, and stability analysis have been extended to complex structural problems. The research on springback, wrinkling, and tensile instability in sheet metal forming has made great progress. In the issue of plastic dynamic response of structures, more attention has been paid to elastic effects, geometric deformation effects, and specific phenomena. Sex and collision energy absorption devices are also a rapidly developing new field. People are increasingly using plastic deformation to serve specific purposes.
