市县级基层单位档案工作,既是提高本单位工作质量的必要条件和维护历史真实面貌的重要工作,又是当地档案事业发展的基础。按照社会分工,各单位在从事职能活动中,不断地产生档案资料存史查考,成为国家档案资源的不竭源泉。如果各单位档案工作基础不牢,档案事业就无从发展。由此可见,做好机关、企事业单位档案工作十分重要。
