2001年10月,麦肯锡全球研宪院(MGI)出品报告《1995~2000年美国劳动生产率增长报告》(原名:US Productivity Growth 1995-2000),对美国1995~2000年期间史无前例的劳动生产率跳跃式增长背后的驱动因素进行了分析研究,其中论及IT业与美国经济增长的关系,并提出“IT的广泛应用并不是1995年后美国劳动生产率提高的最重要的原因……对IT的高额投资并不是创造‘神话’的主要力量”;“在绝大部分经济领域中,对IT方面的大幅投资没有起到任何帮助生产力增长的作用”的观点。 该报告一经发布,立刻引起各方关注。日前,本刊邀请了国内的几位专家、学者,就麦肯锡报告及信息化相关的诸多问题展开一场对话,在探讨信息产业与我国经济发展之间关系的同时,也对中国企业信息化进程做了深入的思考。
In October 2001, the McKinsey Global Institute of Grievances (MGI) produced a report titled “US Labor Productivity Growth 1995-2000 (formerly US Productivity Growth 1995-2000)”, a report on the unprecedented jump in labor productivity in the United States between 1995 and 2000 The driving forces behind the growth were analyzed and studied, which dealt with the relationship between the IT industry and U.S. economic growth and argued that “the widespread use of IT is not the most important reason for the increase in labor productivity in the United States after 1995 ... the high level of IT Investment is not a major force in creating ’myths’ ”;“ In most economic areas, substantial investments in IT do not play any role in helping productivity growth. ” Once released, the report immediately caught the attention of all parties. Recently, this magazine invited several experts and scholars from China to hold a dialogue on many issues related to the report and informatization of McKinsey.
