During machining, usually we need to get a steep 90 ° cone angle. For hole drilling, the so-called hole drilling head can be used. This type of approach is also becoming increasingly advantageous when it comes to microdissection of more complex geometries. From a thermal management point of view, this process is similar to machining with microdissection using a precision mechanical axis fixed head. However, some development efforts still need to retrofit the existing drilling heads, making them more user-friendly and suitable for more complex industrial microdissection applications. One interesting and challenging option is that the workholding is compensated by a sloping taper, especially the entire workpiece.
