2001年,由上海昆剧团新创作的昆剧《班昭》,一经上演就引起戏剧界的广泛关注。金秋10月,《班昭》进京,参加庆祝中国昆剧艺术被联合国教科文组织列入世界首批“人类口头遗产和非物质遗产代表作”的演出活动。《班昭》在编剧、导演、表演、音乐、及舞美各方面均有新的创造。迄今已演出数十场,得到观众尤其是青年学主的认可。为此,本刊邀请了部分专家学者及昆曲爱好者,就《班昭》的成功与不足进行评说,并涉及昆剧发展等问题进行探讨。现将诸位的发言整理发表,以飨读者。
In 2001, the Kunqu Opera “Banzhao” newly created by the Shanghai Kunju Troupe caused widespread concern in the theater industry. In the autumn of October, “Ban Zhao” went to Beijing to attend the performance of Kunqu Opera in China, which was listed by UNESCO as one of the first “masterpieces of the oral and intangible heritage of mankind” in the world. “Ban Zhao” in the screenwriter, director, performance, music, and dance all aspects of the new creation. So far, dozens of performances have been performed and the audiences, especially the young master, have been recognized. To this end, the magazine invited some experts and Kunqu opera enthusiasts to comment on the success and insufficiency of “Ban Zhao” and discussed the issues such as the development of Kunju Opera. Now I will publish my speech to readers.
