Theoretical Characteristics of AN / GSC-4 1. Overview This section discusses the theoretical characteristics of the AN / GSC-4 system. Since transmission paths (cable-carrier devices) introduce amplitude and delay distortion, frequency errors, and noise into the received signal, the impact these factors have on the system performance must be taken into account to specify the requirements for the transmission path characteristics. The following analysis shows the impact of these factors on system performance. This shows that in order to meet the requirements of the system provides the minimum transmission path performance.
