This article observes the long-term migration of 16 healthy elderly returned to plain sex hormone changes. The results showed that compared with the plain elderly, the level of progesterone and testosterone in the blood returning to the plain was significantly decreased (P <0.01 and P <0.05, respectively), while the levels of estrone and estradiol had no statistical significance. Suggesting that sex hormones may be involved in the plateau “off adaptation” mechanism of occurrence. Adjusting the balance of sex hormones in the plateau elderly may have some clinical significance in preventing and treating the altitude sickness of the elderly.
