根据古生物化石和岩性、电性特征，塔中地区中、上奥陶统自上而下可分为上奥陶统桑塔木组和中、上奥陶统良里塔格组，良里塔格组自上而下划分为泥质条带灰岩段、纯灰岩段和含泥灰岩段三个岩性段，它们在全区具有良好的可对比性。通过对比认为，塔中地区中、上奥陶统明显存在岩性地层穿时和同时异相现象，其与下奥陶统之间存在地层缺失和不整合。
According to paleontology fossils and lithology and electrical characteristics, the middle and upper Ordovician in Tazhong area can be divided into Upper Ordovician Santamu Formation, Middle Ordovician Lianglitage Formation, The group is divided into three lithology sections of shaly limestone, pure limestone and marl limestone from the top to the bottom, which have good comparability in the whole area. By comparison, it is clear that the middle and upper Ordovician in Tazhong area obviously have the phenomena of intergrowth and simultaneous heterogeneity of lithologic strata, and the strata are lacking and unconformity with the Lower Ordovician.
