莫言的小说《蛙》作为一类对历史事件再现的书写，其写作的角度绝非针对体制与政策本身，而将关注投向了力量微弱的个体。正如村上春树在耶路撒冷“高墙和鸡蛋”的演说中提到的那样，作家应当站在鸡蛋的一边，一切为了破碎的鸡蛋。莫言的小说《蛙》确实是村上演讲的最好印证和实践。
