黑潮源自我国台湾省东南及巴士海峡以东海域,具有流速强、流量大、高温高盐等特点,是一支强大的西边界流。位于130°E以西海域的黑潮,主要流经东海陆架外缘,简称为“东海黑潮”。中尺度涡的垂向尺度在100m以上,水平尺度和时间尺度分别为100km和10d数量级,且具有强大的动能。台湾东北海域,海底地形变化比较复杂。中、西部为广阔的东海陆架,最大深度不超过200m等深线。冲绳海槽位于东海东南边缘,平行于琉球岛弧展布约1200km,海槽主体深度大于1000m,为东海陆架与琉球群
The Kuroshio originates from the southeastern part of Taiwan Province of China and the east of the Bashi Channel.
