Recently, China State Construction Engineering Corporation, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, signed a contract to build a new Wipan Bridge project under the New Jersey Department of Transportation with a contract value of 166 million U.S. dollars. Located on Highway 7 in New Jersey, the Wipan Bridge was built in 1930 as a steel-lifted bridge for water and land transport hubs and is the main avenue for greater New York City access to Manhattan. The project is to build a new steel structure openable lift bridge beside the existing Wipan Bridge.
