对湛江市南三岛海岸防护林的生态效益作了调查，结果表明：防护林防风、固沙、减轻台风损失的效果显著，改善了海滨气候条件和土壤养分状况，增加动植物种类，优化了海滨的生态环境。
The ecological benefits of the coastal shelterbelt of Nansi Island in Zhanjiang City were investigated. The results showed that the windbreaks and sand-fixing of the shelterbelt reduced the typhoon loss remarkably, improved the seashore climatic conditions and soil nutrient status, increased the species of plants and animals, and optimized the ecology of the seashore surroundings.
