本文对国内外专门用途英语(ESP)的教学与研究发展进行简要回顾,对清华大学出版社引进的《专门用途英语教学与研究学术文库》进行评介,并强调指出,国内高校外语教学改革应借助专门用途英语学术专著引进的契机,推动教学理念的更新,提高大学生的学术英语和专业英语应用能力,培养国家需要的懂专业、会外语的复合型人才。 This article briefly reviews the teaching and research development of ESP at home and abroad, reviews the “Special Purpose English Teaching and Research Academic Library” introduced by Tsinghua University Press, and emphasizes that the reform of foreign language teaching in colleges and universities should be assisted Special purpose English academic monographs to introduce the opportunity to promote the update of teaching philosophy, improve college students’ academic English and professional English application ability, cultivate the country needs to understand professional and foreign language compound talents.
