宁夏回族自治区成立于1958年9月,是全国5个少数民族自治区之一,总面积6.6万平方公里;辖两市两地、16个县、2个地辖市、6个市辖区,总人口490.8万人,其中回族人口占33.2％,农业人口占76.1％,农民年人均收入608元。 宁夏得黄河之利,素有“天下黄河富宁夏”、“塞上江南”之誉。自治区成立36年来,在党和国家的关怀扶持下,卫生部门积极推进医疗卫生单位内部管理机制和运行机制的改革,突出重点,真抓实干,建立起了一个遍布城乡的医疗卫生网络,使城乡居区享有基本的卫生保健服务。
The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region was established in September 1958 and is one of the five ethnic minority autonomous regions of the country with a total area of 66,000 square kilometers; it governs two cities, two counties, 16 counties, 2 prefecture-administered municipalities, and 6 municipal districts, with a total population. There were 490.8 million people, of which the Hui population accounted for 33.2%, the agricultural population accounted for 76.1%, and the per capita annual income of farmers was 608 yuan. Ningxia has gained the benefits of the Yellow River and is known as the “Ningxia Yellow River, Fu Ningxia,” and “Secluded Jiangnan.” In the 36 years since the establishment of the autonomous region and under the care and support of the party and the state, the health department has actively promoted the reform of internal management mechanisms and operational mechanisms of medical and health units, focused on key points, and has done a real job. It has established a medical and health network throughout urban and rural areas. Inhabited areas enjoy basic health care services.
