廣东星星農場以革命的精神制造成功了固氮菌肥料,并在今年6月下旬施于甘蔗田,施后7天即出現了顯著效果:叶色格外濃绿,分蘖多,生長快,叶較寬。而未施用的,叶色較黄,分蘖少,生長慢、叶較窄。土法制造固氮菌把料,簡單易做,成本低;商品固氮菌肥每斤2角2分,土制每斤成本僅0.5分。既經济,又实用,可随用随制,不致失效。在生產大躍進高潮中,如果農場、生產隊都采用土办法,大量增加細菌能料的生產,对墳產將会起很大的作用。
