看了《图书馆学刊》1989年第三期上何建新同志《也谈书标粘贴位置》(以下简称何文)的文章。笔者对“书标贴于书脊空白处为好”的意见不敢苟同,因为在手工条件下,书标还是贴在书脊最下端较好。 1、何文说:“目前国内外出版的图书书脊上的书名、著者、版次、卷号和出版社等,没有固定位置,所以书标贴于书脊最下端免不了要遮盖书脊上的一部分信息。”但据笔者所知,目前国内外出版的书,绝大多数图书在书脊上一般只有书名著者和出版社三项,且有固定的位置,通常是书名在上,著者居中,出版社在下。区区书标远不能遮盖书脊上的大部分信息。最多只能盖注”出版社”三个字,这对读者素书并无妨碍。
