通过介绍、分析比喻修辞手法之功能及其在全新版大学英语综合教程中的应用,使大学英语学习者了解比喻修辞手法在不同语境中的较深层次的功能作用;从三个方面归纳、分析所引课文中应用过的比喻修辞手法,即:(1)相似与关联(2)强调与掩饰(3)文字游戏;得出结论:比喻修辞手法在写作中应尽量提倡使用,因其能用精彩的词句绘出深动、形象的图画,使被描绘的东西更加生动,难以忘怀。此外,比喻修辞手法还是大学英语教师调动大学生学习英语积极性的一种很好的方法。
