There is an extremely complex relationship between thermal exposure limits and certain variables such as temperature, humidity and airflow, radiant heat, metabolic heat, clothing, adaptation to climate, age, gender, health and nutrition. There are many integrated analytical models in the literature, but both are too complicated and require a large amount of environmental measurements to be difficult to use in practical work.
