河源理工学校以“品质成就人生,技能改变命运”为办学理念,坚持“立足河源五县一区,服务河源一区六园”的办学服务宗旨,以创建国家中等职业教育改革发展示范校为契机,推行“三爱三有三分明”的管理模式,全力推动学校的改革发展。河源理工学校于2010年组建了职教集团,成员单位有58家企业、120所初级中学、4所高职院校等,形成了“招生旺、培养精、出口畅”的教育发展产业链。学校招生工作连年取得新突破,2012年招生3027人,2013年招生3769人,2014年招生
