一名乡村小学教师将26个平均年龄只有9岁的留守儿童的220篇日记集结出版,取名《中国留守儿童日记》。这本用词并不华丽甚至还有语法错误的日记形式的图书是我国第一部由留守儿童自己撰写的反映他们真实生活的作品。不过,这并不是杨元松最终的梦想。和所有的爱心人士一样,他希望留守儿童问题能引起政府和社会的充分关注与重视,通过创新的政策手段为留守儿童问题找到出口,给留守儿童一个更好的未来。毕竟,孩子们是国家的未来。
