One of the major contributions of the 16th CPC Congress is the establishment of the historical status and guiding significance of the important thinking of the ’Three Represents.’ Taking it together with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory as the guiding principle the party must last for a long time thought. The historical progress of each era is accompanied by the guidance of advanced thinking.
