The United States Port State Control is the responsibility of the US Coast Guard Port State Control Registrar (USCGPSCO) for inspection manuals based on international conventions, federal codes of conduct, port state control guidelines, nautical and shipping notices, and citation guidelines for special provisions Foreign ships entering the port to carry out port state inspection.
