电流计记录地震仪的基本理论是本世纪初俄国院士伽里津奠定的。电流计记录地震仪的出现对于地震学的发展具有划时代的意义。在半个多世纪时间里,这种方法在地震观测中的垄断地位从未受到挑战,只是近一、二十年来,数字记录地震仪的出现,才使其地位有所下降。但是,数字记录地震仪并不是全盘否定模拟记录在今后地震观测技术发展中的作用。作为一种经典的记录方法,在可预见的将来,它不会被完全取代。基于历史传统和现实的估计,苏联在大力发展数字记录系统的同时,在完善和发展电流计记录地震仪方面也卓有成效地做了很多工作,走出了自己的一条道路。
The basic theory of the current meter recording seismograph was laid by Galicien, a Russian academician at the beginning of this century. The appearance of galvanometer-recorded seismometers is of epoch-making significance for the development of seismology. For more than half a century, the monopoly of this method in seismic observation has never been challenged. Only in the last one or two decades has the status of digital recording seismometers decreased. However, digital recording seismometers do not completely negate the role of modeling records in the future development of seismic observation techniques. As a classic recording method, it will not be completely replaced in the foreseeable future. Based on historical traditions and realistic estimates, the Soviet Union has made a great deal of efforts in perfecting and developing the current-recorder seismograph while vigorously developing the digital recording system and has gone its own way.
