王莲(Victoria regia)原产南美洲亚马逊河流域,是多年生水生植物。世界上许多国家多作观赏植物引种栽培,它要求高温高湿环境。中国科学院植物研究所北京植物园多年来除在温室内栽楠,也在夏季室外水池中种植,这里介绍1982年以来在该园水生植物区中露天种植王莲的栽培技术经验。
