在刘房子煤矿晚侏罗世(J_3)煤系地层中,B_1高级褐煤层之上,普遍存在一层钠质膨润土,其平均厚度为3.5米,估算储量为1421万吨,为目前国内特大型钠质膨润土矿床。经矿物学和工艺性质的研究证明:矿石中蒙脱石含量为70%±,石英、碱性长石为主要杂质。该土是做精矿球团、精密和高压铸型的优质粘结剂,是做钻探泥浆的优质原料。经研究其成矿机理为:原始成矿物质流纹质晶屑玻屑凝灰岩在氯化钠型或重碳酸钠型水长期作用下,经脱玻化、水化作用而形成钠蒙脱石。该成因类型为:内陆火山——湖泊沉积型。
Above the B_1 high rank brown coal seam, there exists a layer of sodium bentonite in the late Jurassic (J_3) coal measure strata of Liu house coal mine, with an average thickness of 3.5 meters and an estimated reserves of 14.21 million tons, Sodium bentonite deposit. The mineralogy and the nature of the study proved that: the ore montmorillonite content of 70% ±, quartz, alkaline feldspar as the main impurity. The soil is a good binder for fine pellets, precision and high-pressure molds, and is a good raw material for drilling mud. The study of its metallogenic mechanism is as follows: The original ore-forming material rhyolite crystal vitreous tuff long-term role in sodium chloride or sodium bicarbonate water, after demineralization, hydration and the formation of sodium montmorillonite. The genetic type is: inland volcano - lacustrine sedimentary type.
