Electric burns can be divided into electrical contact burns, arc burns and lightning burns three categories. Electric burn is more serious than general thermal burn, which not only has many complications but also has high amputation rate. The factors that affect the severity of electric burn are: the nature of the current (AC or DC), current strength, voltage level, body contact resistance and tissue resistance, power time, the capacity of the site of electrocution (current density) and so on. Electric burns should immediately release the power of the accident, immediately rescued, with a clean dress or clean clothes wrapped wounds, check for complications. The results of simulation experimental animals show that the current damage to the heart, liver and kidney is serious. Therefore, in the treatment of electric burn wounds at the same time, the heart, liver and kidneys should take protective measures. The article also introduced the difference between electric burn and general burn treatment.
